Andreas Lechner is an architect and Associate Professor of Design and Building Typology at TU Graz. His work integrates practice, teaching, and research, focusing on the interplay between spatial form and high-quality, resource-efficient construction, transformation, and adaptation. He is a licensed architect, a member of the Austrian Federal Chamber of Architects and Engineers, and a voting member of the expert commission for the historic city of Graz. Over the past fifteen years he has supervised more than sixty-five master’s theses and has acquired over €1 million in research funding. His practice has realised ten built projects, with two further commissions in progress. Currently, Andreas is also a Visiting Professor at TU Berlin, where he teaches the studio seminar “Typologies of Transformation.”
